Jeune Louise Rockenbaugh, 90, of Westminster, died Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at the Carroll Hospital Center. Born June 27, 1920 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Urban A. and Mary L. “Tudy” Wright. She was the wife of Howard J. Rockenbaugh, who died in March 1977.
She retired from the Social Security Administration as a Supervisor in 1980. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church and was an active member of St. John’s “Wisdom Club,” “Loaves and Fishes Soup Kitchen,” “St. Vincent de Paul Society,” and “Bible Study.” She was a long time member of Smallwood’s Homemakers and FCE, was a member of NARFE and graduate of Seton High School Class of 1938.
Surviving are daughter Bonnie B. Bach of Westminster, grandson and wife CDR Eric J. and Kazumi K. Bach of Yokosuka, Japan, granddaughter and husband Dr. Christina L. and James H. Dryden of Mechanicsburg, PA, great-grandchildren Eric Jiei (EJ) and Minami E. (Mimi) Bach of Yokosuka, Japan and twin girls Lily E. and Evelyn G. (Evie) Dryden of Mechanicsburg, Pa., special “adopted” family Rich, Deb, Emma and Ellie Winson of Eldersburg and Brian Cox of Taneytown. Also survived by dear friend Betty Sapp of Westminster.
She was predeceased by son and daughter-in-law Wayne M. and Karen W. Rockenbaugh, brother Urban A. “Bucky” Wright, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Mary Bettie and James Gwaltney of Norfolk, Va.
