He is survived by his wife Mary Salazar, his sister Elvira, his children Peggy, Rosemary (Zeke), Juanita (Jorge), Jose, Jose Alfredo, Dora (Hugo), Luz Elena (Francisco), Josefine, Celeste, and his 24 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
He will be remembered for being a kind, loving, and humorous husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His love of watching the Rockies and boxing matches will be remembered. His family will cherish all the time they’ve spent together, especially those late-night trips to gamble in Blackhawk.
His great-grandchildren will remember him fondly since he showered them with love and affection whenever he could. His presence will be missed at every holiday and family function since he was always ready to play cards and take your money.
He joins his mother Maria Cruz, father Emilio, 3 sisters, and his brother in eternal rest.
