Jesus G. Cantu, age 83, went home to be with Our Lord and Savior on Thursday May 6, 2021 at Valley Baptist Medical Center. He was born May 14, 1937 in San Benito, TX, son to Alberto Cantu and Teresa Garcia. He was a lifelong resident of La Feria, TX and member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. He was a steel worker and retired from the steel industry after many years of hardwork. Jesus loved to fish and also play the accordian.
Jesus is preceded in death by his parents.
He leaves to cherish his wonderful memory his loving wife of 47 years, Enedelia R. Cantu, Eleven children, Maria Guadalupe Diaz (Robert), Estella Maruffo, Tomas Gutierrez (Nancy), Larry Gutierrez (Tammy), Mike Gutierrez (Tammy), Linda Conley (Manuel Mendez), Elizabeth Gutierrez Juarez (James), Raymundo Gutierrez (Lori), Teresa Cantu (Robert Pollard), Jesus Cantu Jr. (Stacie) and Isabel Anderson (Josh); numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren, three brothers, Juan Cantu, Tomas Cantu and Jose Cantu, two sisters, Bertha Sosa and Anita Cortez. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces other relatives and friends.
