Jesucita S. Aldava, 92, left us to be with our Lord on January 16, 2010 after a short illness, she was a loving wife, mother grandmother and great-grandma.

Mrs. Aldava was born to Cirilo and Maria Gonzales Sanchez on June 16, 1917, in Caurio, Michacan, Mexico and was brought to the states at two years old.

She lived in Grants New Mexico until she married. They settled at Alamo Gordo, New Mexico, before coming to live with her niece Lucy and her husband LeRoy.

In the short years she was here she met and got to meet a lot of friends, that just fell in love with her, she was a very loving person. She was Tia to everyone she met, especially to the one that couldn’t pronounce her name.

She is survived by her son Juan Fransico Aldava of Alamo Gordo, NM, grandson Roman Aldava, of Mescalero, NM, 5 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, Lucy (LeRoy) Aragon of Flagstaff, Emily Roberto Almuina, of Phoenix, Lydia Sandoval, of Flagstaff, Esteban (Carolyn) Sanchez of Flagstaff and Catherine (Gilbert) Grigo of Phoenix and too many great grand and great great-grand nieces and nephews to name.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother, husband Manuel Aldava, brothers Ignacio and Efren Sanchez, daughter Agnes, grandson Christen and great grand nephew Christopher Jenkins.
