Jessie Moore 91 of 704 Williams St. passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Mary Gran Nursing Center.

Jessie was born January 17, 1923 to the late Ida Royal and Pete Fryar in the Sampson County vicinity of North Carolina. She was a resident of Clinton, NC where she lived, worked and raised her 10 children with her husband Clarence Moore. She was well known in the Clinton community and a staple member of St. Jude United Holiness Church.

Jessie was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Great-Great Grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, friend and most of all she was Love. She was a wonderful example of faith, hope and charity! She was a strong woman but she was a kind and gentle woman, always giving to others.

Jessie entered into eternal peace on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at the Mary Gran Nursing Center. She was preceded in death by her parents Ida and Pete, wonderful husband Clarence Moore, siblings William, Gertha,  Sam, Pete, Rufus and Henry Fryar, children-Mary-Ann Joyner-Najieb, Frank Nelson and English Nelson.

She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her five daughters Grace Rattley, Ida Dennis, Shirley Corbett, Armani Rahman, and Patricia Simmons, two sons Simon and Cleveland Nelson, sister Ida Mae Best, sister-in-laws Bertha Wilson, Helen Nance, and Annie Ruth Moore, son-in-law Connie Simmons, God-son James Brown, longtime friends and care givers Patricia McRae and Mary Murphy, and a HOST of grand children, great-grand children, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
