Jessie May Moerman, age 93, died June 9, 2018, in Kalamazoo, MI. She was born in Detroit, MI on December 24, 1924, the daughter of Edwin and Jessie Hildon.

They moved to Kalamazoo in 1925 and lived in the Milwood area. She attended the Kalamazoo Public Schools, Washington Elementary and Junior High School, and graduated from Central High School in 1943. After high school, she worked for the Bell Telephone Co. for several years. In 1951 she married the love of her life Daniel Moerman, who preceded her in death in 2015.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; sisters Norma VanderKley, Pearl Roselip, and Betty Dennehy; brothers Fred Hildon and Edwin Hildon, Jr. Jessie is survived by three children Steven (Marcia) Moerman, Patricia (Larry) Hulsebus, and Gregory (Patricia) Moerman; grandchildren Matthew (Tisa) Schuurman, Sara (Matthew) Brinks, Emily (Bryan) Henion and Carley (Tony) Stephens; seven great-grandchildren; a sister June VanderRoest; sisters-in-law Beverly Hildon and Virginia Moerman; nieces and nephews. Jessie was a strong supporter of sports attending many sports activities of her children and grandchildren. She watched many soccer, football, tennis, and swimming events during her lifetime. Jessie also liked to participate in sports, she played softball at Upjohn Park, played tennis with her friends, and volleyball, and became an avid golfer for the past 40 years. She was a member of Grace Christian Reformed Church. She was a Red Cross volunteer for 25 years at the reception desk at Bronson Hospital.

Jessie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend to many. She loved her family and will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
