Jessie Lee Hollins Davis a native and resident of the Whatley Community traded time for eternity of Sunday, June 28 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Jessie was born June 1, 1934 to Charlie, Sr. and Inell Hester Hollins, she accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Mackey Branch #2 Baptist Church where she was a faithful member until her failed. Before failing health she served as president of the Missionary Society, vice president of the Pastor Aide, and Mother of the Church.
She was united in holy matrimony to the late Richard Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Beatrice Coates; 2 grandchildren, Erica Jones and Adriene Dean; two sisters, Minnie Hill and Clara Houston.
Left to cherish her loving memories are 10 children, George Davis, Curtis (Barbara) Davis, Evelyn Davis, Mattie Davis, Maurice (Lisa) Davis, Gwen (Lloyd) Knight, Vivian (Joseph) Cowan, Comelethia Davis (Mark Bush), Katina Davis and Diane Square; five sisters, Mary Duncan, Ethel Evans, Barbara Hollins, Rose (Victor) Morrissette and Bernice (Jerry) Pugh; four brothers; Charlie Hollins Jr., Ernest Hollins, Robert (Lynda) Hollins and Edward Earl Hollins; 31 grandchildren, 73 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; caregivers Rose Robinson and Lashaundra Cowan and others relatives and friends.
