Jessica was an educator for 12 years, currently employed with the H.C.I.S.D. as a teacher at Wilson Elementary. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping and fishing with her boys, whom she adored and loved immensely.
Jessica is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Sabino and Soledad Martinez; paternal grandparents, Epitacio Sr. and Elvira Cortina and her uncle, Pedro Cortina.
She leaves behind to cherish her beautiful memory her children, Luis Angel, Christian Alejandro, Matthew Adrian and Daniel Aiden Mata, her parents, Epitacio Cortina Jr. and Belen M. Cortina; sisters, Amanda Marie Villarreal (Marco), Iris Elizabeth Cortina (David Mata); nephews and nieces, Marco and Carlo Villarreal, Alyssa, David Jr., and Mia Mata; aunts, Maria Elena (Jose) Leal, Beatriz Perez, and Maria Felix Martinez Munoz; uncle, Santiago (Jimmy) Cortina (Mercedes). She is also survived by numerous cousins and friends.
