Jesse Ray Brogden, age 93, passed away on Tuesday at his residence. Born in Wayne County, he was the son of the late William Pierce Brogden and Addie Sasser Brogden and husband of the late Barbara Barefoot Brogden. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Russell Brogden and a sister, Bonnie Brogden Anderson. Jesse was a member of Falling Creek Baptist Church since the age of 14 and was the owner and operator of Brogden Body Shop in the Grantham Community for 45 years.
Mr. Brogden is survived by his children, Kaye Brogden Harrell and husband, Dannie, Marty Brogden and wife, Ann and Jeff Brogden and wife, Mindy; his grandchildren, Shawn Brogden, Beth Lane and her husband, Matthew, and Tim Harrell; and great grandchildren, Kia Lane, Kaiya Lane and Landon Harrell.
