Jesse P. Ramirez, 88, of Galesburg, died at 6:10 p.m., Monday, January 28, 2013, at Galesburg Cottage Hospital. Jesse was born May 11, 1924, in Galesburg, the son of Eulalio and Guadalupe (Perez) Ramirez.
He married Francine Anson on September 10, 1956.
Jesse is survived by his wife, Francine of Galesburg; four brothers, Loreto and Theodore both of Galesburg, Antonio of Springfield, and Eulalio Paul of Bakersfield, CA; three sisters, Carmel Ramirez and Mary Lou (Richard) Gonzalez both of Galesburg, and Jane (Genaro) Reyes of Moline; and one godson, Rick Gonzalez of Galesburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters. Jesse worked for Fox Construction in Galesburg for 40 years, retiring in 1990. He was a longtime member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
