Jesse Paul Askren, 95, passed peacefully on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at the Legacy Lodge.
Jesse was born on August 8, 1920 near Columbia, Iowa to Robert and Emma Long Askren. He attained his GED in 1968.
On March 10, 1941 he was united in marriage to Margaret L.
He accepted Christ as a young man and was faithful to the Lord and his teachings.
Jesse was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Margaret; his brother, Arleigh Askren; his sister, Leda Maddy; and his great grandson, William Albert Kenyon.
He is survived by his daughters, Holly and Mary; three grandchildren, John (Mary) Kenyon, Beth (Nick) Shepherd and Luke (Sara) Littleton; seven great grandchildren, Chloe, Ethan, and Bailey Shepherd; Edward and Daniel Kenyon; and Harper and Sadie Littleton.
