Jesse James Mercer, age 79, of Rome, WI passed away on Saturday evening, June 25, 2022 at Aspirus Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids.
Jesse was born on September 17, 1943 in Kewanee, IL to Pauline and James Mercer. Jesse was known as one of the kinder men you’ll ever meet. He worked with his late wife Beverly for many years, even being recognized by the newspaper for their hard work and dedication.
Jesse loved spending time with his daughter Jamie. He also enjoyed time with his grandson, Noah, whom he lived with and became sealcoating partners.
In addition to Jamie and Noah, Jesse is survived by four stepchildren: Kim, Jacquie, Kevin and Kent; six step grandchildren: Tyler, Alex, Kora, Travis, Nicole and Justin; siblings: Judy Henander, Loretta Barks, Frank Mercer, Nancy Morissy and Jim Mercer. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mary Ann Mercer.
Jesse was loved dearly and will be greatly missed.
