Jesse J. Miller, age 79 of Centralia, IL, passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family and friends.

Jesse was born on February 23, 1936 in Boyd, IL, son of Jesse and Ferne (Copple) Miller. He married Billie Jo Miller on September 28, 1996 and she survives in Centralia.

He married Loretta Cooley in January 29, 1955 in Woodlawn, IL and they later divorced. He then married Vineta Flanigan on May 24, 1969 and they later divorced.

In addition to his wife Billie, Jesse is also survived by four sons: Rodney Miller and wife Angie of Centralia, Randy Miller and wife Deanna Miller of Centralia, Kevin Miller of Carbondale, and Rob Miller and wife Laurie of Centralia; a daughter, Michelle Hicks of Centralia; ten grandchildren: Erica Miller of Plainfield, Joseph Miller of Romeoville, Kelly Miller of Champaign, Blake Miller of Centralia, Austin Miller of Desoto, Emily Hicks of Centralia, Tommy Hicks of Centralia, Jason Miller of Spokane, WA , Brittany Champ and husband Ryan of Greenville, and Kyla Beck and husband Jesse of Centralia; 16 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Gene Miller and wife Kathy of Walnut Hill and Jerry Miller and wife Linda of Walnut Hill; a sister, Dolores Sanders of Odin; two sisters-in-law: Jane Aaron of Centralia and Barbara Scanlan and husband Jack of Centralia; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, step daughter: Correna “Corky” Campbell, and a brother-in-law, Delbert Sanders.

Jesse worked for the Illinois Central Railroad for 42 years. He loved to fish, garden and do yard work. He was a lifelong member and the church treasurer for the Church of Christ in Centralia. He enjoyed going on Missionary Trips. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.
