King, NC – Jesse Hansford Beckner, Jr., age 75, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2020 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House in Winston-Salem.
Jesse was born June 27, 1944 in Martinsville, VA to the late Jesse Hansford, Sr. and Virgie Grace Kadd Beckner, He retired from R. J. Reynolds after 33 years of service as an engineer and was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis Miller Beckner, a grandson Logan Burton, and a sister, Jacqueline Long.
Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Kathy Burton and husband Nick, his son, Mark Beckner and wife Tara, three grandchildren: Lindsey Presta, Caustin Beckner, and Colby Beckner and one great grandchild, Ellie Presta.
