Gone but not forgotten

”To everything, there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die, a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted.”

Jesse Gossett, age 75, passed away on Sunday, September 15th, 2019 at the Riviere de Soleil Community Care Center.

Jesse Gossett Sr. was born on July 2, 1944 to the late Magnolia and Perk Gossett.

Jesse confessed a hope in Christ and accepted Christ as his personal Savior early in his life while living in Arkansas.

Jesse was a farmer at heart. He raised chickens, hogs, and vegetables. He loved to fish and hunt. He led a beautiful life of caring and sharing. He shared his life stories with his family and friends encouraging them not to follow in his footsteps but to do better. He was an avid checker and domino player.

Some of his favorite phrases were, “The Lord has been good to me” and ”Thank you, Lord.” He had no problem saying, thank you and I love you.

He leaves to rejoice in his memory his wife, Bertha Gossett, son, Jesse Gossett Jr, daughter, Desner, six grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews and friends. His parents, brothers and sisters all preceded him in death.
