Jesse F. “Fred” Van Cleve, 87, of Merritt, IL died Saturday, November 14, 2020, at his home.
He was born March 31, 1933, in Jacksonville, the son of Jesse and Eva Mae Copley Van Cleve. He married Ruth Ann Emerick on Dec. 24, 1957, in Beardstown, and she preceded him in death on March 28, 2010.
He is survived by two sons, Jerry Van Cleve of Merritt and Robert (Lashelle) Van Cleve of Winchester; one daughter, Melissa Sue Horner of Marion; three grandchildren; several great grandchildren; one brother, Danny; one sister, Kay; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and several brothers.
