Jesse E. Hilgert Jr., 88, of Greenwood, passed away on April 26, 2017. He was born on February 26, 1929 in Marengo, IN to the late Jesse E. Sr. and Lula Hilgert. He was married December 23, 1950 at Leavenworth, IN to Jeanne Dean Hilgert, and she survives. Jesse was employed 39 years at Eli Lilly & Co., retiring in 1991 as a chemist and a department head.
Jesse is also survived by his sons Larry (Ann) Hilgert, Michael (Starla) Hilgert, Bryan Hilgert; sisters Yvonne Pittman, Nancy (Weldon) McClure; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and former daughter-in-law Jole Rodriguez.
