Jesse Colin Young, 45, of Lafayette, passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2021.
Jesse was born on June 5, 1976, in Lafayette, to Bob Young & Lori (Wehrle) Shomaker. He attended Jefferson High School.
Jesse enjoyed hanging out with his youngest brother Greg, tinkering with things, football and float trips down the river.
He loved fixing things. He took a great deal of pride in not buying new items because he could fix what was broken. He was caring, loyal, fun loving, charismatic and quick witted.
Most of all, he cherished spending time with his child, Kadence.
Surviving are his parents, Lori R. Shomaker (husband Kevin) of Chalmers, Robert D. Young (wife Sue) of Lafayette; his beloved child Kadence; siblings; Greg Wright of Lafayette, Ashley Schmitt (husband Mike) of West Lafayette, Chad Young (wife Tonya) of Frankfort, Bob Young Jr. of Lafayette, Amanda Balser (husband Jason) of Chalmers, Ashley White of Chalmers; Aunts; Rita Swisher and Kimberly Eads, both of Lafayette; Uncles; Dennis Young of Noblesville, Steve Young (wife Sandy) of Albuquerque, NM. and Godparents Emil and Eva Ruth Traznik of Illinois.
He is also survived by Nephews, Austin, Jacob and Axyl; Nieces, Karmen, Madison, Maci, Cali, Sierra and Gabbie. Cousins, Joe, Brett, Alisha, Josh, Kayla, Ariya, and Keiley.
Jesse is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ed & Virginia Wehrle and Robert & Lucy Young.
