Jesse Carl (J.C.) Medlin, 87, of Salisbury, passed away, Thursday, July19 2012, at Trinity Oaks.
Born September 30, 1924, in Catawba County, to the late Lena Blanche Benfield Medlin and Jesse Garl Medlin.
Jesse was a long haul truck driver and a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church of Claremont. He was confirmed at Concordia Lutheran Church in Conover, received the Lions Club Jack Stickley Fellow Award for dedicated humanitarian service, and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Preceding him death were his parents, wife Patsy Medlin, and brother Bobby Medlin.
Survivors include sons, Derran (Francine) Medlin of Conover and Todd (Traci) Medlin of Catawba; step-sons, Thomas (Cindy) Wright, Martin (Anne) Wright, all of Charlotte, and Robert (Mary) Wright of Shadow Hills, CA; daughter, Patricia (George) Deal of Newton; brother, Gene (Mable) Medlin of Catawba; sister-in-law, Joan Medlin of Conover ; special friend, Rosalynn Misenheimer; grandchildren, Shelley Hayes, Susan Wright, Jeffrey Medlin, Kevin Medlin, Kendal Medlin, Kasey Medlin, Colton Medlin; 8 great-grandchildren; and family at Trinity Oaks.
