Mr. Jesse Black, age 89, of Valley passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at the EAMC Lanier Hospital in Valley.
Mr. Black was born on September 16, 1926 in Langdale, Alabama.
He retired from West Point Stevens Langdale Mill after 65 years of service. He enjoyed painting portraits.
Mr. Black is survived by his step-daughter, Gwendolyn (Calvin) McConnell; son, Kenneth Black; grandchildren, Jennifer George, Crystal (Jason) Otto, Cal (Cherry) McConnell, Melinda (Phil) Wood, all of Valley, Kenneth (Kelly) Black, Phenix City; 13 great-grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
