Jerryl Acy Chandler, Sr., age 76 of Clarksburg, WV passed away on Monday, November 6, 2017 at his residence. He was born October 12, 1941 in Washington, D.C.; the son of the late John Johnson and Thelma Chandler.
Jerryl is survived by his three sons, Jerryl A. Chandler, Jr. & his wife, Ina of Alexandria, VA; Derrick A. Chandler of San Antonio, TX and Patrick A. Chandler of Portland, OR; two daughters, Cheryl A. Chandler of Waldorf, MD and Shannon A. Chandler of Upper Marlboro, MD; twenty grandchildren; six great grandchildren; four brothers and three sisters; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Jerryl was preceded in death by his wife, Saundra Peters; one sister and one brother; his dog, Ralphie.
Jerryl was a United States Army Veteran and served in the 82nd airborne infantry. He was an architect engineer for Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics and was a professor for Omaha State and the University of Idaho. He was a member of the American Legion Post #13 and the VFW Post #573.
