Jerry Williams, 60, of Moberly, passed away Monday, August 31, 2020. He was born January 9, 1960, in Valparaiso, Indiana to the union of Cecil and Wilma Rose (Britton) Williams.

On October 24, 1987, he married Laura Boettcher in Moberly, MO and she survives of the home. Also, surviving is his son Joshua Lee Williams of Moberly, two brothers, Gene Williams of Argos, Indiana, and John Williams of Gary, Indiana, niece, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, and brother Judy and Jim Williams.

To Jerry, the family was everything, whether it was Laura and Josh or his church family, he never missed church, a wedding/ funeral, or a work project. His hobbies were gardening and grilling as soon as the weather permitted. He liked warm spring days, sunshine, walking his dog Scooby, and the Macon Flywheel Festival.

He was one of the most selfless people this world had to give, and one of the friendliest. What he may not have had in material wealth he gave in the treasures of his big heart! Jerry seemed to recognize a need and fill it with no fanfare or recognition. He’d often hand you a gift he’d made by hand.

Jerry will be remembered for his laugh, his dedication to his family, his service, and his testimony of Jesus Christ. You’d often hear Jerry say, “The Lord has blessed us with so much. I can’t even begin to say how much.” And he wasn’t afraid or reluctant to tell you how much he loved and appreciated you. May the Lord you love hold you and the keep souls of your family bound in the celestial. He will be sorely missed.
