Jerry Wayne Hill, June 7, 1950 – October 20, 2017.

Jerry Wayne Hill, 67, of Belton passed away on Friday, October 20, 2017 at Scott and White Hospital in Temple.

Jerry was born on June 7, 1950 in Killeen, Texas to John P. and Marie (Moore) Hill. He grew up in Killeen and graduated from Killeen High School. Mr. Hill began working for McDonald’s in Killeen in 1966 and continued his career with the company for 51 years, working his way up in the company from team member, General Manager, Supervisor, Director of Operations North Market, Director of Operations Austin and North, and finally opening his own McDonald’s in Temple in 2002. Jerry was a major supporter of the Ronald McDonald House in Temple. Mr. Hill married Mary Torres in 1988 in Belton.

Jerry was preceded in death by a brother Buster Hill. Survivors include his wife Mary of Belton, son Jerry Wayne Hill Jr. and his wife Julie of Ft. Worth, stepsons Chris Sosa and Robert Sosa both of Austin, stepdaughters Melissa Rosas and her husband Bobby of Austin and Cathy Ellison and her husband John Lee of Belton, his mother Marie Hill of Belton, and a brother Terry Hill of Austin. Also surviving are six grandchildren, J.C. Ellison, Tyler Ellison, Cory Ellison, Kierstin Ellison, Christian Sosa, and Ethan Sosa, and five great grandchildren.
