Jerry Wayne Abbott ,70, passed away on Monday June 18, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Vance County, the son of the late Ida Pearl Burnette Abbott and Clyde Rogers Abbott.
Jerry was a member of the Harris Chapel Baptist Church and a proud veteran having served in the US Army. He retired from Cooper Tools in Apex after 39 years of service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister; Patricia Hill, a brother; Billy Abbott and a previous wife; Star Cardwell Abbott.
Jerry is survived by his wife; Sarah Wall Abbott, a son; Jeff Abbott (Valerie) of Durham; daughters, Dawn Abbott Castro of Franklinton , Milli Edwards and her friend Carlos of Louisburg, 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, 2 brothers; Jack Abbott (Janice) of Manson, Ronnie Abbott (Margaret) of Oak Island; special brother-in-law, Morris Hill of Youngsville; a sister-in-law, Teresa Abbott of Franklinton and a special friend and buddy, his dog Jackson.
