Jerry Alden Pittman was born on February 15, 1962, in Los Angeles, California, the eldest son of Lavern and Elaine Pittman.
On September 13, 2013, with his wife and daughters by his side, he was called home to Heaven after bravely battling cancer.
Jerry graduated from Sylmar High School.
In 1982 he married Shasta Smith and to this union were born two daughters, Shyanna and Shana and one son, Jerry, II.
He worked as a contractor.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Jerry Alden Pittman, II.
He is survived by his wife, Shasta; daughters Shana Pittman (Josiah Larson) and Shyanna (Steve) Davidson all of Carlisle; grandchildren, Aidan Davidson; Sebastian Larson and Gwyndalin Larson; brothers, Alleenn of California; Wayne Daggett of North Carolina;
sisters, Lynn Brawley of Newton; Margie Pittman of California; Beverly Osmonson of California; Beccy Sanchez of California and Kathey Reynaga of Newton; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to thank the amazing doctors and staff at Broadlawns Medical Center.
