Jerry M. Cummings, 83, of Muncie, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Signature Health Care, Muncie.
He was born April 16, 1934 in Anderson, Indiana, the son of the late Arthur and Maxine (Huffman) Cummings.
Jerry was a 1953 graduate of Anderson High School. He worked for Ball Corporation for 25 years and Boyce Forms for 18 years. Past Associate Guardian Jobs Daughters Bethel 25 and past Worthy Patron OES 104 of Muncie. He was also a member of Garden of Gethsemane.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Roselyn “Rosie” Cummings; his son, Ernie Maxwell (Abby); daughters, Karen Cummings, Sherri Maxwell-Nickel (David), and Ruth Cummings (Kenneth Hecker); son-in-law, Scott Quirk; sister, Midge Krieg; several grandchildren including, Adam Maxwell, and Jeremy Maxwell (Brianna), Whitney Quirk, Hannah Quirk, and Alexis Quirk.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Maxine Cummings; in-laws, G. Jerry and Hazel Rappe; brothers, Gene and Butch; sister, Jewell; daughter, Michelle “Missy” Quirk; and his son, Jerry Jr.
