Died Monday morning May 1, 2017 in Battle Creek, Michigan. Jerry was born February 1, 1938 in Three Rivers, Michigan a son of Raymond and Ruby (Knachel) Boise. During the Korean War, he served with the U.S Army. He had been a Kalamazoo area resident since 1975 and was employed with the Schoolcraft Public Schools before retiring. Jerry was also a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Three Rivers.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and 2 children, Jerry “Jay” Boise, Jr. in 1987 and Julie Boise in 2014. On September 4, 1960, he was united in marriage to Margery “Johnette” (Karier) Boise who survives. Also surviving, a daughter, Joy (Bryan) Sutton of Kalamazoo; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; a sister, Kathleen (Wayne) Weaver of Albion, MI; and several nieces and nephews.
