Jerry Lee Narber passed away peacefully on January 21, 2015 at the age of 78 years old surrounded by family at his son David’s home in Perry, Ia.  Jerry was born at home at Lovilia, Ia. on June 14, 1936.

He was the son of Reed and Lucille (Mosley) Narber.  He attended school in Lovilia.  The family then moved to Derby where he attended Cambria School.  They then moved to Chariton, Ia. where he graduated from high school in 1954.  Jerry attended Iowa Wesleyan College in Mt.

Jerry served his Country in the Navy where he was stationed in Guam and Okinawa.

On September 17,1960 Jerry married Joann (Milbrath) at Lakefield, Mn.  They had five sons; Terry (Sindia), Wyoming, Mi; David (Lisa), Perry, Ia; Dan (Melissa), Altoona, Ia; Todd (Holly), Fort Dodge, Ia; Gail (Tammy), Republic, Mo.

Grandchildren; Anthony, Joslyn, Andrew (Marina), Kyle, Ashley (Chad), Joshua (Megan), Kasey, Jonathan, Cheyenne, Jered, Austin, Ethan, Grace, Ella, Annabel, Jordan, Chloee, Riley, Paige; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He and Joann farmed for 20 years and owned several small businesses.  Later, he managed the CT Farm and Home Store in Chariton, Ia until the store closed.  

Jerry was a strong supporter of the Chariton Public School transportation system.  He loved driving bus for the school district and did so for several years.

He also enjoyed working at Adventureland Park during the summer months and attending and working at The Iowa State Fair.

Jerry enjoyed going to auctions.  He loved and was greatly loved by his family.  He strongly believed that everyone that was able to work should personify a strong work ethic and dedication.  Jerry was particularly fond of New Mexico and greatly enjoyed the time he and Joann lived there and often spoke of returning to New Mexico.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Joann, brothers Gene (Louise) and Jim (Donna), brother-in-law Gerald (Gloria) Milbrath and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Reed and Lucille Narber, his in-laws, Loren and Myrtle Milbrath.
