Jerry Lee Mahan, 78, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away in Union Hospital on February 13, 2020. He was born December 1, 1941 in Terre Haute to Ivan Mahan and Ruth Mahan Oggier, both have proceeded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 45 ½ years Donna L. Mahan; seven children Teresa Mahan, Traci Ewert (Ken), Shelly Abney (Jason), Jerry Scott Mahan (Inee), Stephen Morgan (Stephanie), Mark Morgan (Deb), Kecia Meng (Steve); 21 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren. He has one brother-in-law, Walter Wilson (Ann) of Weatherford, Oklahoma, and one sister-in-law, Anna Gann (David) of Spokane, Washington. Jerry graduated from Garfield High School in the class of 1960. There he played quarter back on the football team. He worked for 35 years as a Welder and Pipefitter for Plumbers and Steamfitters Local #157 in Terre Haute. He was an avid golfer and loved watching golf, football, his favorite baseball team the Cardinals, and hanging out with his friends at the American Legion Post 104 at the “Round Table”. He was also past Commandant of the S.A.L. Sons of the American Legion. He loved to be involved with the Silent Men, the American Legion, and also the Marine Corp. League. He loved to always see how many sponsors for the golf tournaments he could get to donate for these organizations and baskets for the needy for the Shriners.
