Jerry Lamar Kirkland, 71, of Bostwick, passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2021, at his home following a brief illness. He was a native of Douglas, GA, and had lived in Bostwick most of his life. Jerry served in the Army National Guard and was a member of Bostwick Baptist Church. He was also a member of the White Hill Hunting Club and loved to hunt, run dogs, and fish. Jerry also enjoyed woodworking in his spare time and was happiest when spending time with his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, W. R. and Ruby Kirkland, brother, Billie Joe Kirkland, sister, Betty Kight, niece, Glenda Peebly, and nephews, Mike Kirkland.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Beverly Kirkland, sons, Greg Kirkland (Amber), and Jason Kirkland (Sarabeth), brother, James Kirkland (Linda), sister, Alvalene Bicknell, 6 grandchildren, Lane, Luke, Logan, Kason, Kolston, and Kyler as well as special friends, Bobby Bell, Doyle Guthrie, Donald Register and Tommy Smith, Sr.
