Jerry Lynn Rogers, 91, passed away at Unity Point Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines on March 29, 2022 from cancer.
Jerry was born December 1, 1930 in Winterset, Iowa. He graduated from Winterset High School. He served in the US Navy during the Korean War from 1950 – 1954. Following the service he attended Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa.
Jerry shared 50 years with his first wife, Mary Lou. They made their home in Des Moines, where they raised two sons, Jason and David. Following Mary Lou’s death, he was united in marriage to Elaine Borland Noble.
Jerry worked in Pressure Concrete until his retirement. He served as manager for Beaver and Adams Senior Apartments for eight years. He enjoyed traveling, was an avid reader and followed the Green Bay Packers.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 16 years, Elaine; sons, Jason (Heather) and David; two stepdaughters, Jane Fees and Mary (Rick) Weiler, as well as a large family of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Mary Lou and his siblings, Joanne and Nancy.
