Jerry Emmerling, 85, of Anderson, passed away Saturday, November 08, 2014, at Rawlins House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Pendleton.
She was born August 18, 1929, in Rhea Co., TN to the late William and Elizabeth (Wyatt) Spurling.
Jerry was a graduate of the old Fortville High School, a 25-year member of the Fortville Order of the Eastern Star No. 149 and a 50-year member of the Rebecca Lodge #114 in Greenfield. Jerry retired in 1982 from the Mental Health Association in Anderson, prior to that she had worked at the Ft. Benjamin Harrison Finance and Accounting Center for 15 years.
She is survived by her husband Arthur O. Emmerling whom she married on December 28, 1974, sons Douglas (Annie) Lindamood of Interlachen, FL and John “Richie” (Pam) Lindamood of Edinburgh, IN; step-children: Michael (Ginger) Emmerling of Noblesville, IN, Tom (Terri) Emmerling of Alexandria, IN; Robin (Curt) Simpson of Dover, FL, Jill Emmerling of Anderson and Mitzi (Ted) Pruitt of Frankton, IN; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Jerry was preceded in death by a son: David L. Lindamood, grandson: Craig Lindamood; sisters: Beatrice McMillian; Ruth Barker and Mary Martin; and brothers: John, Edward and Bill Spurling.
