Jerry Deleon Smith, 79, of Anderson, passed away on July 11, 2016 at the Edgewater Woods Nursing Home. He was born on May 12, 1937 in Napa, California and resided most of his life in Anderson.
Jerry graduated from Placerville High School in 1955. He served his country in the United States Army. He retired from Honeywell after 35 years of service. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Anderson where he was a Sunday school teacher, and board member.
He was an avid gardener, loved the outdoors, and especially loved to spend time with family and friends. Jerry is survived by his loving spouse of 55 years, Sallie (Umlauf) Smith; daughters, Colleen (John) Garner of Anderson, Kathleen Marion of Fishers, Kimberly (Jeff) Bolt of Anderson; grandchildren, Megan Bolt, Logan Bolt, Lucas Bolt, Kyleigh Garner, Cole Garner, Madison Marion, and Nicholas Marion; and siblings, Johnny (Bonnie) Smith of CA, Beverly (Rich) Borbe of CA, and David (Vickie) Smith of CA.
Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Juddie and Gladys Smith.
