Jerry D. Myers, 80, of Centralia, passed away January 14, 2019 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia with his family by his side. Jerry was born March 18, 1938 in Centralia, the son of Monty Myers and Louise (Ingram) Myers.
He married Kay Myers on August 31, 1985 and she preceded him in death on January 22, 1996. Jerry is survived by three sons: Tom Myers of Centralia, Corey Myers and wife Jenni of Bethalto, Jamey Myers and fiancé Jenna Conley of St. Charles, MO; two daughters: Lisa Jezek and husband Kevin of Midland, TX, and Cindy Pierce of Las Vegas, NV; one brother: Larry Myers and wife Ruth Ann of Centralia; five grandchildren: Alex, Andra, Jennifer, Jason, and Rian; three great grandchildren: Jaxon, David, and Bella.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents: Monty and Louise Myers; wife: Kay Myers; infant daughter: Marla Myers; three brothers: Paul Myers, Monty “Bud” Myers, and John “Bob” Myers; three sisters: Grace Greer, Aldenia Moran, and Betty Downen. Jerry was a member of the Free Methodist Church in Centralia. He was an avid race car , sports, and motorcycle racing fan. He was known for his motorcycle racing in his younger years which he held the #1 plate in the St. Louis District in 1961. Most of all, Jerry enjoyed being at home spending time with his family.
