Jerry D. Gwin, age 89, of Rensselaer, IN passed away at Autumn Trace on July 9, 2021.
Jerry was born on July 11, 1931 in Rensselaer to Ralph and Fanny (Henry) Daugherty. On June 24, 1951 in Rensselaer Jerry married James C. “Jim” Gwin, Sr., who passed away on July 25, 2012. She graduated from Rensselaer High School, Class of 1949. Jerry and Jim were owners of two businesses in Rensselaer, In., Long’s Gifts and Unfinished Furniture of Rensselaer, IN. Jerry was member of the First Christian Church of Rensselaer, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution General Van Rensselaer Chapter and Tri-Kappa Beta Upsilon where she served as President.
Jerry is survived by; her three children, Jim (Donna) Gwin, Jr. of Noblesville, IN, Jeff (Carol) Gwin of Columbus, IN, Julie (Gary) Evers of Rensselaer, IN; six grandchildren, Matt, Carrie, Brett, Scott, Jessica, Jordan, and eight great-grandchildren.
Jerry is preceded in death by; her loving husband, Jim; her parents; two brothers, Robert and Cletus; a sister, Joyce, and a grandson, Jacob.
