Mr. Jerry R. “Bud” Freeman Sr., 74, of New Market, formerly of Hendersonville, North Carolina, and Gainesville, Florida, passed away on Sunday at his home. Mr. Freeman was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He loved his children, was a good father to them, and he made sure that they came first in his life. He also loved his grandchildren and enjoyed giving everyone a nickname.
He was preceded in death by his three brothers, Jack, Frank, and Harry Freeman; By one sister, Molly Benson; By his grandson, Justin Jennings; By his parents, Jerry & Catherine Glover Freeman.
Surviving family members include his children and their spouses: Angela Cyree and her husband Chris, Jerry “Bud” Freeman Jr. and his wife, Lisa, Rick Freeman and his wife, Bernetta, and Cheryl Harris and her husband, Jeff; His grandchildren: Joey (Nikki) Jennings, Danielle Cyree, Ricky (Ashley) Freeman, Nathan (Kristen) Freeman, Kelsie Miller, Kayla (Ryan) Freeman Neal, Cody Freeman, Haley (Adam) Harris-Kinser, Sadie Harris, and Scott Harris; His great-grandchildren: Avery Head, Charlie Kinser, Glori Jennings, Adelynn Freeman, Gunner Freeman, and Oaklynn Freeman; He is also survived by his sister, Peggy Johnson and her husband, Charles, as well as by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
