BRIGHAM CITY – Jerry Brian Fernelius, 80 passed away on Sunday November 27, 2016 at his home.
Jerry was born on May 15, 1936 in Ogden, Utah a son of Peter Gustaves Lindberg and Mildred Evelyn Gladys Graetz Fernelius.
He was born and grew up in Weber County, also lived in San Diego for 16 years, Riverdale, UT for 3 years, Springville, UT, 2 years, Payson, UT 42 years and Brigham City, UT for 2 years.
Jerry was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served an LDS Mission to Mexico City.
Jerry married Roxanna Moore on February 21, 1959 in Los Angeles LDS Temple, she passed away on July 22, 2014.
He retired from BYU where he worked as the head locksmith.
Jerry enjoyed being with his family, hunting, fishing, leatherwork, woodworking, calligraphy, and cooking.
Surviving are his children: Ronda J (Robert L) Kenner; James Brian (Jessie M.) Fernelius; Renee (Thomas) Nicholes; Monica (Alan) Page; Joel Brent (Melanie) Fernelius; Jon Barry (Andrea) Fernelius; Melinda (Benjamin) Palmer; 29 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Also, siblings: Esther Frisch; Peter Blair Fernelius; James Eric Fernelius; and Bonnie Bigler.
Preceded in death by his wife, infant son, brother Dale and parents.
