Died Thursday morning March 3, 2016. Jerry was born April 2, 1943 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a son of Byron and Ada (Doorlag) Arnold. During the Vietnam War, he served with the U.S. Marines. He had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with 5/3 Bank for over 45 years, retiring in 2009. Jerry was a member of the N.H.R.A. and the American Legion, South Haven Post#49.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother-in-law, Meryl Koning. On December 13, 1968, he was united in marriage to Cheri L.(Coe) Arnold who survives. Also surviving, 2 sons, Jeff Arnold of South Haven and his fiancé, Cari and Scott (Amy) Arnold of Kalamazoo; 2 grandchildren, Jordyn and Hayden Arnold; a brother, James “Jim” Arnold of Boise, ID; 3 sisters, Josephine Koning of Portage, Judy (Nick) Jordan of Elkhart, IN, and Nancy Arnold of Kalamazoo; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
