Jerry A. Stross, Sr., 72, of Cromwell, husband of Evelyn (LaRoche) Stross, died suddenly Saturday, November 8th at the Southern Maine Medical Center in Biddeford, ME. Born in Willimantic, CT, he was the son of the late Jerry and Camilla (Hackenschmidt) Stross. Jerry was the owner of Advance Vending for over 30 years, was a member of the Boy Scouts for over 50 years and a member of Amateur Radio Relay League. He was a loving husband, wonderful father and grandfather. Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Jerry A. Stross, Jr. and his wife, Theresa, of Avon; three daughters, Donna Archer and her husband, William, of Morristown, NJ, Jamie Polk and her husband, Greg, of Newington, and Audrey Brady of Portland; two stepdaughters, Carol Tate and her husband, Jody, of Portland and Catherine Cote and her husband, Steven, of Farmington; two brothers, Neil Johnson of Tolland and Phillip Stross of Burlington; one sister, Susan Hinchcliffe of Farmington, and nine grandchildren.
