Everette Jermiah Hoover (Jerry) 93, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2024. He was born on July 21, 1930 to Everette L. and Martha (Amman) Hoover in Chesaning, MI.He married Mary Ellen (Schoch) on July 14, 1951 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Chesaning. He deeply missed her since her death in February of 2023. He was well known for his mustache (in his CB days he was known as handlebar which he kept waxed and curled) He was a proud Korean War Veteran and very active with Legion Post 212, serving on the board and working int he Legion Booth during Showboat week.He retired from Farmer Peets, working on the cutting floor. It was there that he fell in love with hot dogs (only with skin on), bologna (only the thick kind) and hickory stick. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and trapper. The house, garage, basement and cabin were adorned with deer horns. He loved to watch NASCAR racing and western on TV. He even traveled to Las Vegas for race car training! He was able to dress as a race care driver and speed around the track.
