Jerrold Darnell Johnson transitioned from this earthly life to his heavenly home on January 29th, 2020. He was born in Harvey, Illinois to Willie and Barbara Johnson on February 24th, 1959. He graduated from Thornridge High School in Dolton, Illinois. Afterwards, he attended Northern Illinois University where he was an All American Football player and with his athletic skills, he was also an All State Baseball and Basketball player.
Jerrold was dedicated to his country and served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Mt.
Jerrold was preceded in death by his mother Barbara Johnson; father Willie Gene Johnson; grandparents Eugene and Elinor Vinyard; and Purmilour “Diamond” Hunt.
Those left to cherish Jerrold’s memory include his daughter: Aussie Stone (Henry); son: Leeland Johnson; brothers: London Johnson and Tharon Johnson; sister: LaDonna Johnson; grandchildren: IzJohn Trice, Cheyenne Stone, Aimyim Stone, Jacques Stone, Areonn Stone, and Pernell Stone; Godchildren: George Hunt and Yolanda Trice and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
