We are profoundly saddened by the passing of our patriarch, JEROME CONRAD KOS “Jerry”, 80, on October 3, 2019 surrounded by family and friends after a most courageous battle.
Born on July 8, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois he lived most of his life in Miami, Florida. He obtained his BBA from the University of Miami.
He was the son of the late Dr. Frank S. Kos and Dr. Sophie B Kos. Son-in-law of the late Verona Martinez. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Frank J. Kos and his wife Anita. The late Adrienne Abrisch and her husband Jim, Antoinette Miller, the late Joseph “Natty” Lacayo, John Lacayo and his wife Cathy.
Darling husband of Marie Kos for 45 years. Dearest father and step father and father-in-law to Ernestine Martir; Kirk Martir and his wife Dominique; Manuel Martir; Marlon Martir; Stanis Kos and his wife Nancy; Anton Kos and his wife Androcia and Zosia Kos Neal and her husband Owen. Cherished grandfather of Manuel Jr.; Spencer; Dominique; Amber; Corey; Zebedee; Sadia; Josh; Kira Anna; Tayla; Zain and Lanalyn. Also left to mourn him are 6 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; family and friends.
He was a husband; father; father figure; grandfather; brother; uncle; friend. Not to mention a Hotelier; cattle rancher; environmentalist; historian; an avid reader last but not least A BELIZEAN.
His life impacted so many, in so many meaningful ways. We are all better for having known him. He will be missed immensely.
