Jerome A. Squatrito Jr of Bristol, RI passed away unexpectedly on December 26, 2020.
Born in Fall River, he was the son of Anita (Tarantelli) Squatrito and the late Jerome A Squatrito. In addition to his mother, he is survived by an uncle Raymond Tarantelli of Warren and many cousins. He is also survived by his closest friends the DeCastro family: Leslie DeCastro; her children: Kara Estrella (Thomas) and James DeCastro Jr. (Camblin) and her grandchildren his “best pal” Cole James Estrella and Kenzie Jade Estrella. He was preceded in death by his father and his sister Dr. Geraldine Squatrito, DO.
Jerry helped many people throughout his life and was never able to say no to anyone, always giving more and asking for nothing in return. He was an avid sports fan of the Red Sox and Bruins. He graduated from Bristol High School in 1974, where he played baseball and was a member of the schools first ice hockey team. He served as the Supervisor for the State of Rhode Island, House of Representatives Veteran Affairs Committee Office since it was established in 2004. Prior to that he worked at the Rhode Island Veterans Home and was a member of the Bristol Fire Department Defiance Hose Company. He was previously the Head Equipment Manager at Brown University for all varsity sports and then went to work at Providence College as a Zamboni driver / rink operator. He was the owner of J. Fox Screen Printing and Embroidery in Bristol.
