Jermaine Shantel McCrea, was born on April 14, 1978 and died unexpectedly at his home on January 5, 2016. Born in King Street, South Carolina, he was the son of Lounether McCrea and Billy Freeman of Middletown. Jermaine is also survived by six children, Jahkwaina McCrea, Shandella McCrea, Nasir McCrea of Virginia, Janai McCrea of Middletown, Syncere McCrea and King McCrea of New Haven; three sisters, Melinda Freeman of Middletown, Kenecia Freeman of Middletown, Madison Cunningham of South Carolina; three nieces, Ramhya Cunningham, Samyrah Freeman, and Amauriah Flores, all of Middletown; four nephews, Dezure Rodriguez, Noe- Shawn Freeman, Sacrio Freeman and Rakeem Cunningham, Jr., all of Middletown and a host of cousins and friends that loved him dearly. Jermaine was a son, father, brother and a friend and will be greatly missed but as hard as it is to understand for some of us, God has plans and a better place for him and gave him his wings earlier than expected.
