He graduated from Kelly Walsh High School in 1993 and then attended college at Black Hills State University in Spearfish, South Dakota, graduating with a degree in education. He married the love of his life, Kathleen after attending college in Spearfish, South Dakota. His second love, son Logan, was born in Denver, Colorado on April 27, 2003. Jeremy will always be remembered as a gentle, caring soul who put other people before himself except when cheering for his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers. He spent hours patiently fishing never really caring if he caught anything, he just loved being outdoors. Jeremy never lost his love of moving to the music even when his body resisted his funky moves. Jeremy is survived by Kathleen Bates and their son Logan Bates both of Broomfield, Colorado. He is also survived by his mother Linda Prescher of Springfield, Illinois, stepfather Steve Willoughby of Cheyenne, Wyoming, grandmother Fannie Willoughby of Casper, Wyoming, uncle Calvin Bates of Eagle, Colorado, father-in-law and mother-in-law John and Cheryl Kern of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and grandparents-in-law Gene and Leona Krakow of Cheyenne, Wyoming.
