Jeremiah Enoch York, 16, of 6530 O. H. Staley Road, Ramseur, died Sunday, May 26, 2019.

He was born in Forsyth County and was a lifelong resident of Randolph County. Jeremiah was a rising junior at Chatham Charter High School where he had played baseball and wrestled.  Jeremiah was a hard worker. Whether he was helping on the farm, working on trucks, or running calls for the fire department, he was happiest at work.  He was passionate about helping others and served as a member of Ramseur Fire Department as a junior volunteer firefighter. Jeremiah was a member of Holly Spring Friends Meeting where he served in the Youth Group and enjoyed volunteering in several mission trips.  He never met a stranger, his friendly outgoing and generous personality made him loved by all.  He loved his family, his friends, his dog Shelby, his country, and his church.  He will be deeply missed.

Survivors: parents, Jeffrey and Julia Rivers York, of the home, brothers, Elijah York, Josiah York, both of the home, maternal grandparents, Ray and Diane Rivers, of China Grove, paternal grandparents, Elvin and Linda York, of Ramseur.
