Jerald “Jed” A Finlinson died peacefully at home on Sunday, August 20, 2017.
Jed was born on January 12, 1939, in the east bedroom of his parents and grandparents home in Oak City, Utah.
Jed attended Oak City Elementary, Delta High School, Utah State University (USU), Snow College, College of Santa Fe and Tulane University. He wrestled in high school and college. Since he was a boy, he loved having and taking care of animals. At any given time in his life, he had various combinations of pigeons, rabbits, chickens, turkeys, goats, etc. Jed also enjoyed having many plants in his home.
He met and married Carol F. Hoodless while attending USU. They were married in June of 1959 and were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Working was something Jed was used to from a young age. He grew up working on the family farm. After graduating from college, he worked for the EPA and several health departments in Colorado, Utah and Idaho. Entrepreneurship was also in his blood.
