Jennifer Jean Vermote, age 44, of Escanaba, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday July 11, 2017, due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident, in Wisconsin.

Jennifer was born February 7, 1973, in Escanaba, the daughter of Gerard Vermote and Laurie (Moreau) Lippens. She was raised in Gladstone and was a 1991 graduate of Gladstone High School. Jennifer was a kind, loving, softhearted person. Making people smile was something Jennifer sought after. She enjoyed making new friends and spending time with the ones she loved. Jennifer had a love for all animals. Horseback riding was a passion to her and she loved to compete in barrel racing competitions at the W.P. Ranch, in Gladstone, which afforded her many ribbons and trophies. Jennifer was employed at Wal-Mart Super Store in Escanaba for the past 17 years. She was proud to have recently received the Employee of the Month award and will be deeply missed by family and friends.

Jennifer is survived by her parents, Gerard Vermote of Gladstone and Laurie (John) Lippens of Escanaba:
Sister: Tami Vermote of Escanaba, MI
Brother: Luke (Nicole) Vermote of Danforth, MI Also surviving are Jennifer’s nieces and nephew, Fiona, Stormy and Austin.

Jennifer’s grandparents, Ken (Mabel) Moreau and Contant (Elsie) Vermote preceded her in death.
