Jennifer Anne (Turpin) Rober
Jennifer Anne (Turpin) Rober, loving wife of Glenn Rober and proud mother of sons Collin Stewart (Marissa) and Shane Rober, passed away suddenly on February 15, 2022. Throughout her all-too-brief-life, she displayed exceptional courage and positivity, especially in her heroic battle with cancer and its aftermath. Jeni was and will continue to be a shining beacon of hope, resilience, and strength to her family and friends.
Jeni was born July 16, 1967, in Indianapolis to the late Sharon Anne (Marsh) Turpin and is survived by her father Kenneth Turpin of Sarasota, her brother Matthew Turpin (Marcia) and nephew Jayke of Jupiter, as well as aunt Patricia Adkins and cousins Julie Heaton, Susan Gaughn, Don Adkins (Kelly), Kathy Lahm (Steve), and Douglas Heaton (Lynn) of Indianapolis. Jeni was a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Fort Lauderdale and received her bachelor’s degree from Florida International University. She worked in marketing and advertising for several Miami businesses and later became a substitute teacher of K- 5th grades for South Miami public schools.
She lived by her motto YOLO (you only live once), and she brought that infectious joy and passion to everyone and everything she touched. She and her husband enjoyed boating, entertaining friends and family, and accepting new challenges and adventures. She was a good-natured, but extremely passionate, participant in all types of games and competitions.
She loved animals and had a succession of rescue cats and dogs throughout her life. Jeni was also an organ donor. Although she will be forever missed, her family and friends take comfort knowing that she made an important gift to the lives of others. Her spirit will live on for years to come.
