Jennifer A. Taplin, 38, of New Carlisle passed away Tuesday, 10:05 A.M. surrounded by her loving parents. She was the only child of Stephen M. and Nancy (Horvath) Taplin. She is also survived by aunts and uncles Sue (Horvath) & Daniel Akin of Colorado, Thomas & Yvonne Horvath of New Carlisle, and Alison (Taplin) & George Zaderej of South Bend. Her cousins who adored her include Karen (Horvath) & Matt Wulf, Kathy (Horvath) & Doug Moses, John & Sara Horvath, Jeff & Bonnie Akin, and Julie (Akin) & John Perry. She was the youngest granddaughter of the late John & Mary Alice Horvath and the only grandchild of the late Mark & Doreen Taplin.
Jennifer graduated from New Prairie High School and Indiana University South Bend. She was currently pursuing her passion of baking with her own business, Grandma and Me Cookies.
Jennifer served on the board of Historic New Carlisle for many years. She loved history especially her hometown. She particularly loved baking and serving luncheons and teas at the Old Republic. She was also a member of the New Carlisle United Methodist Church.
She was a loving and gentle young lady who was loved by everyone. She never spoke ill of anyone. Jennifer had a big heart and loved all animals especially cats, nursing them back to good health.
